I need to better my research question to base my paper around and pose a question of study, as i feel mine so far doesnt pose a question or a clear enough one yetSOCIAL SCIENCE 3113.6.0HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONS: THEORIES AND ISSUES2015-16Major Research PaperUsing the proposal and bibliography previously prepared, students will write a 10-12 page researchpaper to be handed in at the beginning of class on February 29, 2016.If they prefer, students may choose to research a profession which is different from the one they usedfor the proposal.Students’ research will focus on the specific health profession they have chosen to study. It willexamine the regulated or non regulated health profession using:1. the profession?s web site ? i.e. Colleges and/or Associations of the profession.2. class material and3. five to six scholarly articles about their chosen health profession. The inquiry should focus around several (2 or 3) research questions which arise from theoreticalconcepts studied in class and should situate the profession in terms of Canadian health policy, that isthe regulation or non-regulation of the profession, and its relationship with the RHPA and health carerestructuring. The paper will be 10-12 pages in length, written in APA essay format, double-spaced, in Times NewRoman, 12 point font and will include a title page.Marks will be deducted for lateness. There are many good resources online for writing research papers. You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.
Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.
Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.
The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.
